The Heart Behind the Hustle
When you see the Zoomies Dog Care team around Rockville or read these blog posts, you're usually hearing from us about the Zoomies Pack and the partnership that makes Zoomies so unique, or learning our time-tested tips and tricks to enhance your dog's life and your own. But today, I wanted to step back for a moment to introduce you to the person who has been my steady rock for the last two decades, without whom Zoomies would not exist today: my best friend and partner, Spray.
More Than a Business Partner
While I'm the one with the clippers and leash, the face of Zoomies, Spray is the one who brings the
"family" part of Family Owned & Run, and makes the the "business" part of Small Business
possible. He's my sounding board for every new idea, my steadfast assistant during grooming
appointments, and he provides that added layer of safety and security to your dogs and myself. He has
been there since before day one.
Building a small business in Montgomery County isn't easy, but it is a lot smoother because I have a
partner who believes in my vision even more than I do. He doesn't let me falter when business is slow,
doesn't let me lose hope in our dream and boosts my motivation to keep putting myself and our business
out there. He makes me proud of everything we've accomplished so far.
The Artist and the Advocate
The name "Spray" isn't just a nickname; it's a nod to his passion. When he isn't helping me manage the
chaos of a busy grooming schedule, he's a dedicated and talented spray paint artist and cartoonist by
the name of SprayedOutShades. That same creative eye and attention to detail he brings to a
canvas is exactly what he brings to our home and our business.
He's also the ultimate "Dog Dad" to our own pups. His patience and dedication to their well-being
have often served as the blueprint for how we treat every dog that joins the Zoomies Pack.
A Quiet Celebration
He isn't one to put himself in the spotlight, so if you happen to see him around town today, remind him
that another trip around the sun is always worth a smile! He prefers to work his magic from the
sidelines, making sure everything runs perfectly so that I can focus on what I love most: the dogs!
Zoomies wouldn't be Zoomies without him. So today, I'm just taking a moment to be grateful for 20
years of partnership, art and a shared love for dogs.
