Safety in Numbers

Never Unattended Guarantee

When you hire a dog walker, you're usually picturing a person and your pup strolling down the sidewalk. But at Zoomies Dog Care, we do things differently. We operate as a two-person Power Team; while that means more head-stratches for your dog, it also provides a level of security that a solo walker simply can't offer.

One of the biggest risks in professional pet care is the "unattended moment." Whether a solo walker needs to grab a key from a lockbox, manage gear failure, manage an emergency or simply pick up dog poop, there are brief windows where a dog is tethered or left alone.

With us, those windows don't exist. From the moment we step into your home until the moment the door is locked behind us, your dog is under constant and active supervision. One of us is always on the leash while the other manages any logistics.

Redundancy is Reliability

A pair of dog walkers supervises a spaniel on his walk; she is handing him the leash with one hand and holding a roll of poo bags in the other.

Life happens - especially on the busy streets of Montgomery County. If a walker slips on a patch of black ice, a leash clip fails, or a loose dog crosses their path, a solo walker is in a crisis. With the Zoomies team, we have built-in redundancy and a twenty year partnership to draw on. If one of us needs to adjust a harness or clear a path, the other handler is right there to ensure your dog remains secure and calm.

The Unspoken Language of 20 Years

Spray and I have been together for 20 years. At this point, we operate on a shared frequency; we can communicate quickly and efficiently with a single eyebrow twitch or head tilt.

From Fear to Train-Watching

This teamwork was a lifesaver for one of our clients near the Twinbrook Metro. Her pup was terrified of the trains - Red Line, Marc, Amtrak or commercial, it didn't matter. The second he heard that rumble, he'd try to bolt.

Because there were two of us, we could guarantee his safety without breaking a sweat. We weren't just hanging on; we were able to use our dual-handler system to keep him focused and safe. Today, thanks to that slow, controlled desensitization, watching the trains pass is actually his favorite part of the walk.

Whether we are navigating the learning curve with our own two high-energy pups, Luna and Oakley, or caring for your senior dog, we believe that four eyes and two hearts are always better than one.
