But today, I wanted to step aside for a moment to introduce you to the person who has been the quiet, steady rock behind Zoomies and me for the last two decades: my best friend and partner, Spray.
More Than a Business Partner
While I’m the one with the clippers and leash, Spray is the one who makes the “business” part of a small business possible. My unofficial sounding board for every new idea, my steadfast assistant during grooming appointments, he provides that added layer of safety and security to your dogs and to me. He has been there since day one.
Building a small business in Montgomery County isn’t always easy, but it’s a lot smoother when you have a partner who believes in your vision as much as you do. He makes me proud to call Zoomies Dog Care a small, family run business.
The Artist and the Advocate
The name “Spray” isn’t just a nickname; it’s a nod to his passion. When he isn’t helping me manage the chaos of a busy grooming schedule, he’s a dedicated spray paint artist and cartoonist by the name of SprayedOutShades. That same creative eye and attention to detail he brings to a canvas is exactly what he brings to our home and our business.
He’s also the ultimate “dog dad” to our own personal pups. His patience and dedication to their well-being have often served as the blueprint for how we treat every client that walks through the Zoomies door.
A Quiet Celebration
If you happen to see him around town today, he might be a little more “celebratory” than usual (after all, another trip around the sun is always worth a smile!), but Spray has never been one for the spotlight. He prefers to work his magic from the sidelines, making sure everything runs perfectly so that I can focus on what I love most: taking care of your furry family members.
Zoomies wouldn’t be Zoomies without him. So today, I’m just taking a moment to be grateful for 20 years of partnership, art and a shared love for dogs.
